Find the correct Security door

This is Chapter 11, Inside CEG HQ, at the end of the Clara Woods Part. You must first open the Strange Gate on Atlas Way. Once in CEG reception, collect the ground-floor map behind the desk. The Security room is near the building’s front entrance.

The Security Office is reached from the ground-floor lobby. Screenshot: PowerPyx, Clara Woods illustrated route.

This four-digit lock is separate from Clara Woods employee lockers and the numbered cases in the seated presentation area. If you are looking at a three-digit box lock, you have already moved to the next puzzle.

Read the Maintenance whiteboard

  1. Enter Maintenance in the lobby’s northwest corner and examine the whiteboard. It gives the starting 4 and a chain of arrows.
  2. Follow the clue’s intended digit path: 4 → 8 → 9 → 5. Take the first torn Grid of Codes piece from the Maintenance rubbish bin while you are there.
  3. Return to the Security doorway, interact with its keypad and enter 4895. Open the door after it unlocks.

Get the card that actually opens the lift

  1. In Security, search the rubbish bin for the second Grid of Codes piece. Combine the two pieces in inventory to form the complete grid. Read the office computer’s documents too.
  2. At the podium in the presentation seating area, collect Box IDs and Names. Find Richard’s numbered box 36; use its printed number as your reference instead of counting chairs from an uncertain camera angle.
  3. Open box 36 with 486 and take the Employee File Cover Note. Other boxes are not substitutes; wrong guesses can damage Simon.
  4. Return to Security’s Employee Database computer. Enter the full employee ID 00007820518, including its leading zeroes.
  5. Turn on the card printer beside the computer. Use the computer’s Print Access Card command and collect the printed card from the device.
  6. Use that card at the elevator reader. Continue to the 10th floor to advance the story.

The Security phone provides a useful save before the box puzzle. Skip optional manual saves if this run is specifically for Reject The Help. Printing the card is an action; merely typing an employee number does not put the card in your inventory.

If the lift still rejects you, first check that you picked up the card. If you cannot print, check the printer’s power and the complete employee ID. You do not need to repeatedly open unrelated cases or spend healing supplies on guesses.
