Graveyard Keeper 2 Factory: Setup and Automation

Set up one powered Graveyard Keeper 2 Factory line, connect inputs and outputs, assign workers, and prove production before adding town-supply delivery.

Quick Answer

Enter the Factory through the underground passages, clear the required blockage, and repair a Zombie Carousel. Staff it for conveyor power, then unlock and build the production equipment. Start with one short line and one recipe: confirm an input arrives, the assigned worker completes it, and its output leaves before expanding.

Access is different from the conveyor unlock

Follow the cellar passages below your base toward the deserted Factory. Clear the reachable obstruction with the materials and Building mastery displayed by that repair. Opening a passage can trigger Larry’s scene; it does not unlock every factory blueprint. Jack’s progression gates the production technologies separately.

The local 1.007 export agrees on Jack’s 50-reputation conveyor gate. Some guides use a 40-reputation workshop milestone as shorthand for factory access; do not assume that milestone grants Conveyors.

Assign a separate zombie to the Carousel

Repair a Broken Zombie Carousel, then insert a zombie. A repaired but empty carousel supplies no working conveyor budget. The Keeper or a zombie operating the Smithy cannot simultaneously be the carousel worker.

Watch the Factory’s used/available power display as you add belt components. The checked release-era setting gives 7 power per carousel zombie, or 10 with Belt Master; compare your installed build before using those numbers for a large layout. The Bioreactor’s item named Zombie Power is a crafting resource, not this conveyor capacity.

Prove a short iron line

  1. Choose an unlocked Smithy iron recipe. The local 1.007 factory recipe uses 1 Iron Ore and 1 Coal for 1 Iron Ingot. Check the menu and any listed extension before building.
  2. Place and finish the Smithy, inspect its intake ports, and arrange a short powered route from each input source. An ordinary chest is not interchangeable with a Conveyor Chest.
  3. Assign a production zombie and inspect its Smithing mastery and equipment. Select the recipe in the machine’s queue.
  4. Watch an ore and a coal item arrive, then an ingot finish. Provide an output route with space to receive it. If one of those events fails, repair that handoff before adding the Assembly bench.

Extend to supplies only after the first job works

A town supply line adds the appropriate Assembly bench recipe, its inputs and any extension. A loose iron ingot is not a filled Supply: Iron crate. Read the chosen supply recipe, not a similar manually crafted quest crate, before connecting the output.

Finished supply crates leave through a Supply Station. A Zombie Supply Porter moves them to the Supply Storage pallets; the separate delivery Porter handles the trip toward Town. Accept and inspect the matching order at the warehouse before expecting deliveries to count.

Avoid dismantling the whole room to diagnose one blocked machine. Keep the functioning part and change one failed link at a time.
