Wild West Pioneers Tutorial Assistant — Reopening Status
Said no to the Tutorial Assistant and regretted it? A playtest update made that decision reversible — the developer’s own notes say you can head back to it whenever you are ready.
Quick Answer
Declining the Tutorial Assistant used to be effectively permanent, which left players who skipped it without help later. The developer changed that during the September 2026 playtest: refusing it is no longer a one-way decision, and you can go back to it afterwards.
What we cannot tell you is the exact place in the menus to reopen it — we have not been able to confirm that for the shipping build, so this page does not guess at a location.

Why You Could Not Get It Back
The Tutorial Assistant is offered early, and the offer reads like a simple preference: take the help, or turn it down because you would rather work things out yourself. Players who declined it and then hit something they did not understand found there was no obvious way to change their mind.
That is a bad match between how the prompt is written and what the choice actually costs. Saying no to a tutorial usually means "not right now"; here it meant "not at all", which is the complaint the update addressed.
What the Update Changed
Confirmed by the update notes
Declining the Tutorial Assistant no longer shuts it off for good. The Playtest Hotfix of September 9, 2026 says: “Declining the Tutorial Assistant no longer shuts it away until the next quest — you can head back to it whenever you’re ready.” The same note mentions adjusting the assistant’s layout so its text and video guides are easier to find.
This is worth knowing even if you have not reached for it yet: you can decline the assistant during your opening hour to keep the screen clear, and still come back to it once the parts you cannot guess at start showing up.
Going Back to the Tutorial Assistant
This is where this page stops short, and it is deliberate. We know it can be reopened; we have not confirmed where in the interface you do that in the current build, so we are not going to describe a menu we could not check.
If you are looking for it now, the places worth checking are the ones built for exactly this:
- The game's own controls and settings screens — help and tutorial options are usually grouped together rather than buried.
- Any in-game help or guide panel, which is where a tutorial system normally exposes itself a second time.
- The Tutorial Assistant prompt itself, if it returns at a later milestone — the change was about making the offer recoverable, so it may re-offer rather than wait to be summoned.
Current Status
- Confirmed: declining the Tutorial Assistant is no longer permanent, and it can be used again after you decline.
- Not confirmed: the exact screen or option that brings it back.
- Not confirmed: whether it re-offers itself at a set point, or whether you have to go and find it.
Two earlier official notes say the same thing without being any more specific: the Playtest Retrospective of September 18, 2026 says the team “added the ability to switch the Tutorial Assistant back on after you’ve turned it off”, and the assistant’s introduction notes say it “can be turned on or off at any time”. None of them names a menu, a tab or a key, so neither do we.
The moment the exact location can be checked against the shipping build, this page gets it and the date above changes.
