Lost the road? Plan the return route
Quick answer
Use the compass to record your outward and return bearings before a detour. If lost, retrace known movement and landmarks.

Before leaving the road
Park somewhere recognisable, note the road direction and the direction from your RV to the building. Keep the vehicle or a distinctive landmark visible where possible. Record the reverse bearing before terrain obscures the route.
Already lost
- Stop making new random turns.
- Identify the last landmark you recognise.
- Retrace the outward route toward it.
- Reset your bearings once the road or RV is visible.
A compass points north; it does not point to your vehicle. Driving north is not a universal recovery solution in a generated world.
