Reduce repeated trips
Before collecting furniture, move water, food, fuel and repair supplies. Group frequently used items where they can be reached without shifting the whole interior. Keep loose cargo away from driving controls.

Players reported using containers to move several objects, but physics and capacity behaviour can change. Test a short carry before loading precious parts. If the arrangement drops or clips items, use short trips instead; no universal storage exploit is required.
Departure check
Walk through the vehicle once before leaving: check access to the driver seat and ensure that recovery supplies are findable. Keep the carrying route short so a failed placement does not cost an entire looting trip.
