Start Carbon Copy with Heidi

Begin New Growth and visit the FBC base in The Park. Speak to Heidi, the woman in pink looking for her twin sister Hannah. Finish her conversation and receive the Apartment Key. Track the quest toward their apartment south of the base.

This is a three-part Side Story. The first apartment visit only finishes Part I; the hospital and factory belong to later stages. Major story spoilers follow.

Part I: apartment, Hannah and the first handover

Reach the apartment. Follow the marker south of Heidi. Cross the neighboring rooftops to the roof entrance, clear the approach and descend into the building.
Find Hannah. Use the Apartment Key, enter the sisters’ apartment and finish Hannah’s conversation.
Report to Heidi. Return to the FBC base and finish the conversation. Wait for Carbon Copy’s completion notification.

Part I awards Untapped Mother’s Locket for Artifact Formation. An Untapped item still needs crafting before the finished artifact can be equipped.

Part II: Zoe’s call and hospital documents

Part II begins with a later call from Zoe. After finishing Part I, continue main-story progress and follow the hospital objective when it arrives. The recordings do not establish one mandatory boss kill or a fixed waiting period; “wait exactly an hour” is not a proven requirement.

Follow-up call missing? Confirm you returned to Heidi and completed Part I, then install the current update. Remedy’s 1.4.0 patch notes list a fix for Part II failing to start because its call was missing.

Visit Dr. Florez. Follow the hospital marker in Central, speak to the doctor and investigate Hannah in the field-hospital bed.
Read the documents. Inspect the Medical Report on Hannah Garrett and Note From Heidi nearby. The note points back to their real apartment.
Return to The Park apartment. Enter the same building, inspect the body in the bathroom and report the discovery to Zoe.
Go outside. Follow the new trail of copies into Part III. Do not stop at the hospital or bathroom discovery.

Part III: copies, factory and final Heidi handover

Follow the copies north. Track the quest through The Park to the factory. Copies along the route act as visual breadcrumbs.
Speak to Heidi outside. Take the Factory Key after her conversation, unlock the door and speak to Hannah inside.
Defeat Hannah. Avoid Mold attacks and attack during openings. Fire abilities such as Ignite or Inferno help against Mold. The fight alone does not finish the handover.
Return to Heidi outside. Finish the post-fight conversation, let Dylan’s report to Zoe conclude and check the final quest notification.

Medical Alert Bands and Budding Mycologist

The final reward is Untapped Medical Alert Bands. Artifact Formation lists Medical Alert Bands; use the in-game name rather than external guides’ alternative names.

Budding Mycologist requires both New Growth and the complete Carbon Copy story. If it is missing, check New Growth and the final return to Heidi. Part I’s Mother’s Locket alone is not proof that all three parts are complete.
