Distinguish the two robot enemies
ID-008 is the hovering eye-shaped robot, not the gatling-gun Peacekeeper. Its shield resists ordinary firearms until a laser forces it into a grounded mechanical form. Grouping can reduce danger during its patrol, but should not be treated as immunity, particularly on harder difficulties.
Elimination and containment
- Find the Laser Gun and arrange a route back to the command deck.
- Apply laser damage to break the shield and trigger its change of form.
- Use damage weapons while it is exposed.
- When an EMP disables the ship, restore power before relying on respawn capsules again.
- Repeat the encounter until elimination is confirmed.
For capture, trigger the shield-break transformation while the robot is fully inside containment and close immediately. It can roll backward during that animation, so avoid initiating at the threshold. An EMP animation provides another opportunity, but a prepared transformation attempt is easier to coordinate. Have one teammate operate the button while another controls the robot's position.
