Recognise the threat
ID-005 is the large humanoid robot accompanied by scout drones. It can shoot at range and kill at close quarters. Do not confuse it with the small hovering ID-008 robot: their weaknesses and capture windows differ. Break line of sight when a scout starts tracking you, or destroy it before it reports your position.
Kill and capture sequence
- Locate the Electrical Gun and a conventional damage weapon.
- Use electricity to interrupt the gatling gun while damaging the gun itself.
- When the weapon breaks, switch your aim to the revealed energy cell in the abdomen.
- For elimination, repeat core damage and repositioning until the robot collapses.
- For capture, lure it through the chamber and damage the core while it is fully inside. Close containment when it kneels.
Slowing it with electricity is not the same as the shutdown window. A premature door attempt lets it back out. Keep a clear exit for the player operating the lure.
