Monster identification and weakness reference
Quick answer
Identify the specimen before selecting equipment. The two robot-shaped threats require different weapons and containment windows.

Find the right specimen guide
| ID | Identification | Approach |
|---|---|---|
| 005 | Humanoid robot | Destroy gatling gun, then target core |
| 006 | Squid | Knock down, then burn |
| 007 | Ghost | Freeze before attacking physical form |
| 008 | Floating robot | Laser shield, then damage |
| 009 | Mutant | Electrify head and attack exposed face |
| 010 | Scorpion | Burn supporting corpses and prepare healing |
Read the encounter, then choose the objective
Choose the matching ID guide before engaging. For containment, your team needs to create the vulnerable moment while the specimen is inside the chamber. For elimination, plan repeated damage windows and a retreat route. A weapon label by itself does not explain either sequence.
Combine visual and environmental clues. Do not assume every headless body means the squid, or that every robot encounter needs the same special gun. Agree who carries the weakness weapon and who operates the door before beginning a capture.
This reference links the six independently researched encounter guides on this site. It does not claim that every codex entry represents a currently verified playable encounter; ID-004 remains outside the combat guide until its current mechanics can be established.
