CONTROL Resonant Editions, SteelBook and Bonus Access
Choose a format, check the extras you own and find their access points.
Quick Answer
Standard buys the main game; Digital Deluxe adds five extras. SteelBook offers physical packaging and artwork. Pre-order rewards depend on past purchase eligibility. For owned cosmetics, use a wardrobe; for Untapped Artifact recipes, check Artifact Formation in The Gap.

Standard or Digital Deluxe?
Choose Standard for the main game. Choose Digital Deluxe if you want its artbook, soundtrack and listed bonus items. Neither edition name establishes ownership of the historical pre-order rewards.
| Edition | Included | US listing |
|---|---|---|
| Standard digital | Main game | $59.99 |
| Digital Deluxe | Main game; Digital Artbook; Original Soundtrack; Untapped Artifact (Wallet); Starter Resource Bundle; AWE Mission Outfit | $69.99 |
| Steam Digital Deluxe Upgrade | Deluxe extras for owners of the base game; base game required | $10.00 |
The Steam and PlayStation products list those Deluxe contents. Steam sells a separate Deluxe Upgrade. Check your own store before upgrading: the US PlayStation page displayed its upgrade add-on as unavailable when checked. A Steam upgrade is not a console entitlement.
AWE Mission Outfit is a cosmetic bonus, not an extra campaign called AWE. The listed Deluxe contents do not promise a season pass or future paid expansions.
Physical discs and SteelBook
| Format | Package to compare | US retailer listing |
|---|---|---|
| Standard physical | PS5 or Xbox Series X disc version; check the exact platform on the box | $59.99 |
| SteelBook Edition | Console game, SteelBook case, art prints and key-art poster; compare the exact regional package | $69.99 |
Best Buy’s US listings and Xbox SteelBook product give October 15 for console discs. Shipping estimates are separate from that release date. Series S has no disc drive; a PS5 without a usable disc drive cannot use a game disc. These boxes are not Steam keys or a PC disc edition.
The Shop Just for Games PS5 listing specifies three art prints, one poster and a collector sleeve alongside the disc and case. Its euro listing was €69.99 when checked. Package contents and delivery terms should be checked on the listing for your region.
SteelBook and Digital Deluxe are different products. A metal case and printed art do not establish ownership of Wallet, AWE cosmetics or the digital artbook/OST. Expect those extras only if the exact listing includes them. For disc pre-orders, confirm any bonus voucher and terms with the retailer rather than assuming the digital pre-order pack is included.
Remedy’s developer FAQ says it currently has no plans for a Collector’s Edition. A seller calling its SteelBook collectible does not establish a separate official Collector’s Edition. Region-wide stock availability was not verified.
Pre-order eligibility
| Extra | Qualification to check | What it is not |
|---|---|---|
| Hiss Corruption Outfit + Pickpocket’s Tool Artifact | Historical digital pre-order pack; inspect your receipt and owned add-ons | A reward guaranteed by a new post-launch Deluxe purchase |
| Occult Outfit | PlayStation digital pre-order offer | A Steam, Epic or Xbox Deluxe extra |
| Wallet + AWE Mission Outfit + starter resources | Digital Deluxe or a compatible Deluxe Upgrade | The pre-order pack |
Digital release was September 24. PS5 Deluxe early play began September 22 and has ended. Buying Deluxe now cannot give you those past 48 hours. See the launch history for the platform distinction.
Epic’s purchase promotion is separate: its offer FAQ grants a Dylan Faden Outfit in Fortnite for an eligible Epic purchase, used on the linked Epic account. It is not an extra outfit inside CONTROL Resonant. Refunding the qualifying game purchase removes that promotional entitlement.
Find your owned extras
- Check the purchase first. Use the account that owns the game and verify the edition and add-ons in its library or order history.
- For cosmetics, reach wardrobe access after the opening story. Inspect its separate clothing categories. The AWE set includes named pieces such as Circulation Vest, rather than a single full-body switch. The outfit guide separates Deluxe, pre-order and promotional items.
- For Wallet or Pickpocket’s Tool, check Artifact Formation in The Gap. Owning the Untapped Artifact is separate from crafting and equipping the finished Artifact. Inspect its recipe and the materials displayed in your current game.
- For artbook and soundtrack, check the main-menu Deluxe: Art Book & OST entry. These do not require equipping an item. The artbook can reveal later story imagery.
Menu and crafting access follow GAMES.GG’s bonus-access guide; wardrobe categories are also shown in the recorded wardrobe showcase. Those show access locations, not ownership of your particular purchase. No fixed crafting cost or immediate inventory deposit is promised here.
Missing extras: check entitlement
- Compare the missing item with the eligibility table: AWE, Hiss and Occult have different purchase conditions.
- Inspect installed add-ons and the purchasing account. If the store offers a separate install for an owned bonus pack, install it and restart the game.
- Reach wardrobe and Gap access if still in the opening sequence. A recipe is not a finished equipped Artifact.
- If still absent, keep the order confirmation and give your platform, edition, purchase date and missing item name to Remedy support. Ask the retailer about a missing retail voucher.
Do not rebuy the full Deluxe game solely to recover a historical pre-order bonus. First establish which entitlement is missing. A Deluxe Upgrade cannot be assumed to restore a pre-order reward.
