What the listed upgrade contains
Steam lists the Digital Deluxe extras as the AWE Mission Outfit, Untapped Wallet Artifact, starter resources, digital artbook and soundtrack. These are edition extras, not a published new campaign. The base game and an upgrade product also have different ownership requirements; inspect the actual purchase page before buying an upgrade alone.
Story expansions remain a separate question
The developer’s June FAQ describes the launch game as a complete experience and says further plans will be shared later. That historical statement is not a promise that DLC can never exist. On this November 4 review, the checked official listing and announcements did not establish a named story expansion, price or release date.
Free updates are not the same purchase
New Game++ and quality-of-life changes in 1.4.0 are patch content. Buying the Deluxe Upgrade is not a stated requirement for installing those fixes. Use the update guide for quest repairs and version changes instead of interpreting every update headline as paid DLC.
Avoid importing the previous game’s pass
Control (2019) had its own expansions and Ultimate Edition. Those product names do not describe CONTROL Resonant’s current upgrade contents. If a future Resonant expansion is announced, verify its title, required base edition and actual store release state before treating a rumor or series precedent as a new product.
