The targets that drain those bars are connected enemies, rather than the distant scenery.
Phase one: punish the connected targets
Evade the projectile volleys from the boss’s current side of the arena. Attack the smaller enemies brought toward the middle, then the heavy enemies that begin occupying fixed positions. Both contribute to progress here. When the bar is empty, use the displayed finish prompt on the Hedron and again inside the core; do not wait for an ordinary attack to trigger the arena transition.
Phase two: change sides with Reach
Avoid the ground-targeted lasers and strike the moving laser enemies to interrupt their travel. At roughly half health, remaining targets are on the other arena section. Reach to the suspended platforms and cross over. Clear those targets, finish the center, then repeat the core interaction.
Phase three: use wells and Shift
Switch between the two arena faces to reach the two heavy-enemy waves. These heavies are the important health-bar targets even when smaller enemies continue spawning. Use the side Gravity Wells and Shift when the targets occupy the opposite face. Empty the bar and perform the final center/core interactions. This finishes Fight to the Core; The End still follows.
