Where to Find Matthews: Route and Dialogue
Where to Find Matthews: Route and Dialogue. Practical steps and checks.
Quick answer
After Zoe’s call, go to Central’s Field Office. At its southern side, find the orange Security Station beside the Evacuation Zone sign. Climb the yellow exterior stairs to the upper entrance and use Level 1 clearance. Searching only the ground-floor door misses the intended route.

Find the upper Security Station entrance
After Zoe’s call, go to Central’s Field Office. At its southern side, find the orange Security Station beside the Evacuation Zone sign. Climb the yellow exterior stairs to the upper entrance and use Level 1 clearance. Searching only the ground-floor door misses the intended route.
Go beyond the pool tables
Inside, pass through the lounge with the two pool tables and continue into the rear kitchen/breakroom. The armed Ranger beside the refrigerator is the person you need. The absence of a personal map marker does not mean you should search every Field Office floor.
Finish the confrontation, then report to Zoe
Ask about the West Incursion Zone and continue questioning the denial instead of choosing a reply that ends the conversation. Published routes include pressing whether he is sure, challenging his story and asking whether he abandoned the team. Then leave the room and finish Zoe’s follow-up call. Reports disagree about whether his words amount to an explicit confession, so the practical checkpoint is reaching the team-abandonment discussion and the radio follow-up.
Keep adjacent loot and the radio issue separate
The breakroom table document, nearby bunk-room crate and upper-office folder are separate pickups; none substitutes for talking to the Ranger. Remedy’s older known-issues list records Dylan’s Matthews call repeating. A repeated call after the conversation is not proof that a new dialogue combination will produce another quest reward.
