Identify the material

Burn Mold directly
Use Ignite or Inferno on burnable Mold. Aim the fire at the growth itself, not adjacent scenery, and wait for the reaction. Both are Deserter reward choices. If neither is available, mark the route for a return after the Central Resonant instead of repeatedly trying normal attacks.
Break reinforced roof panels from above
Ground Slam supplies downward impact on the square metal roof. A charged Crush secondary attack is another documented option. Shift may help you reach the roof, but does not break the panel. Stand above the correct panel and commit the impact there.
Separate access from destruction
A sphere anchor calls for Reach; an eligible gravity surface calls for Shift. Neither is an all-purpose door opener. If the door has a local red switch or a required clearance card, resolve that control before attributing it to a combat ability gate.
