GOG’s explicit DRM-free offer
The official GOG product FAQ says no activation or online connection is required to play and offers an offline installer without mandatory GOG Galaxy. Galaxy remains optional for cloud saves and achievements synchronization. Downloading the installer or bonus content is a separate online step; retain the installer through your legitimate library.
What the Steam disclosure check establishes
The current Steam product page checked November 4 did not expose a Denuvo or third-party DRM notice in the listing. This is a dated storefront observation, not a binary audit. It does not establish a universal first-launch, offline-authentication or machine-activation limit. No removal date is invented because the checked sources do not supply one.
DRM, accounts and cloud features differ
A store account used to buy or download a title is different from a game requiring an always-online session. Steam Cloud and GOG cloud saving are save-management features. A cosmetic code or NVIDIA bundle hardware check is a promotional redemption condition, not evidence of the running game’s DRM implementation.
Choose using an explicit product promise
If an offline installer is the priority, GOG’s current product page makes that promise directly. For another store, inspect its present product notice and official offline-mode support rather than assuming all versions behave identically. This page provides no crack, bypass or claim that unsupported executables are compatible.
