PS5 Pro Modes: Performance, Quality and Balanced
Remedy lists PS5 Pro targets of 60fps Performance, 30fps Quality with ray tracing, and 40fps Balanced with ray tracing on a 120Hz-compatible display. These are developer targets, not a site-run guarantee that every scene stays locked.
Quick answer
Remedy lists PS5 Pro targets of 60fps Performance, 30fps Quality with ray tracing, and 40fps Balanced with ray tracing on a 120Hz-compatible display. These are developer targets, not a site-run guarantee that every scene stays locked.

Read targets in the correct hardware column
The developer’s September 15 feature article is the source for the table below. On Pro it names PSSR and 2160p mode targets; this does not establish native internal 4K rendering in every scene. Base PS5 has a different Performance resolution target, so avoid copying Pro numbers to the standard console.
Balanced needs the display path to support it
Use a 120Hz-compatible display for the 40fps Balanced option. Check the console’s video-output capabilities and the actual game menu if a mode is unavailable. A 120Hz panel requirement does not mean the game is promising 120fps. Keep display support separate from the mode’s rendering target.
Choose for the action you play
Start with Performance when responsive combat matters most. Compare Quality for the ray-traced presentation if you accept its lower target. Balanced provides the listed middle option when the display supports it. Compare the same street and combat encounter, rather than screenshots from unrelated scenes or a different console.
Targets and feature support are different evidence
The table reproduces announced settings, not measured minimums, frame-time percentiles or a patch-by-patch benchmark. Remedy also describes DualSense trigger resistance and compatible-headset 3D Audio. Those features do not prove a particular mode holds its target under every load. Use current installed menus if a later update changes availability.
