How to unlock Death: the twelve-minute encounter

Attempt this in normal mode: the German community guide warns that the unlock may not work in Endless. Bring a loadout that can preserve room to move. Your objective is to remain on one location rather than to leave as soon as the bus is ready.

Find him, then confirm the unlock
At twelve minutes, look for Death and move toward him. Check for the achievement and character unlock. Killing him first can miss the encounter trigger: a comment on the English guide reports defeating Death without receiving the character. These instructions describe the documented Early Access method; older demo discussions use a different timer.
