Endless Mode: identify what stops the build
Quick answer
Take a loadout you can already operate reliably into Endless, then track whether the next failure comes from damage downtime, recovery, movement or backpack space. Improve that bottleneck rather than assuming one weapon grants infinite scaling.

Prepare before extending the run
Finish ordinary progression goals with a build you understand. Keep a functioning damage source, recovery and an escape. If a new weapon needs several missing supports, avoid disabling a working loadout just before enemies become harder.
Upgrade within finite space
As equipment accumulates, judge which old item a new piece replaces. Check active links after merging or moving a support. A second disconnected damage source can occupy the cells needed to improve the one that is actually keeping enemies away.
Record the limiting factor
If crowds survive through reloads, work on downtime. If damage remains adequate but you cannot move, work on movement and route safety. If the run ends at a boss, review that attack pattern separately from general clearing speed. Do not rely on claims that Flamethrower fires automatically scale with enemy maximum health: the official description ties their damage to the weapon instead.
Compare compatible records
Balance updates have reset Endless leaderboards and restricted score submission from incompatible saves. Compare results within the same version and season; a historic record is not proof that the same build behaves identically now.
