Getting started

Moon Sweepers: What to Do First

A practical route from the toothbrush to a shorter delivery loop and your first automated sale.

Quick answer

Start close to the station. Sweep a load, deposit it and learn the shipment loop. Aim for the $25 Household Broom, then buy capacity if emptying interrupts you. Add a short Packager-to-intake belt before investing in a large factory.

Your first successful delivery

  1. Take the free Toothbrush from the station supply wall and equip it. Start on dust within a short walk of the station rather than setting off across the Moon.
  2. Sweep until your container fills. Return to the depot and follow the on-screen interaction to deposit the dust. Collection, depositing and launching are separate actions.
  3. Use the station shipment system to launch a full container. Watch the wallet change so you understand when your work becomes money.
  4. Repeat a short route until a wider tool is affordable. The Household Broom is listed at $25 in current community tool tables. Check the supply wall for any prerequisite purchase the game displays.

The first automation checkpoint

Place a Packager near your work and connect its output to the depot exterior intake. Feed one load and follow the capsules all the way to the intake. Since 1.0.3, belt deliveries pay on arrival. Buying a processor before this simple line works adds another place for material to stop.

Your next session

Choose one goal: a more comfortable hand tool, a working delivery belt, or a vehicle with an unloading route. In co-op, coordinate before spending because matrix upgrades apply to the crew. You do not need a complete processing plant to finish your first useful session.
