Moon Sweepers Production Reference: Robots, Belts, Power and Recipes
Numeric capacities and practical routing checks.
Quick answer
Trace the material first: check outfeed, input balance, power range and sunlight before expanding machinery.

Find the limiting stage
Follow a capsule from its source to sale. A full hopper needs an outfeed; an empty processor needs inputs; a powered-down processor needs panels within its wireless range. Raising one capacity does not fix a bottleneck at the next stage.
Use the nominal capacities below to size a starting line, then observe actual sustained operation. Belt slope, spacing, input combinations, sunlight and robot deliveries can all change what the completed line achieves.

| Way | Paid |
|---|---|
| On a belt into a station's intakes | As they arrive: the station launches what it holds at once. Collector and stations |
| Emptied into your tool | Aimed at a capsule, one key empties it into the held tool and another picks it up; emptied dust is sold at any station's deposit intake, paid when its button is pressed. |
| J.O.O.N.A.S. capsules | They land in a capsule catcher. With a belt on its output it sends the dust out as 1 kg capsules, one every 0.35 s; with no belt the dust goes to the station at once and is paid with the next launch. Capsule catcher |
| Robot vacuum docks | The dock packs its robot's dust into capsules onto a belt; with no belt the dock fills up and the robot waits. |
| Action | Fact |
|---|---|
| Pick up | From up to 3.5 m away. |
| Capsule Tether | +1.5 m pickup reach per level: 5 m at level I, 6.5 m at level II ($260 for both levels). |

Day And Night
| Rule | Fact |
|---|---|
| Sun path | The Sun moves on a great circle, so every place on the Moon, every station included, has the Sun up for half the cycle. |
| Crews | The whole crew shares the host's clock, so everyone has the same time of day. |
| Bunks | Lying in a bunk does not skip the night: the Moon keeps turning. |
| Solar panels | Full output with the Sun up, fading out over a narrow band as it crosses the horizon. |
| Light at night | The helmet lamp and the night vision goggles light the way; both use the same key ( Controls ). |

Mergers and splitters
A merger combines incoming belts toward one output; it does not multiply the output belt’s capacity. A splitter sends material between outputs. When a factory waits despite spare processor capacity, inspect these junctions and the output destination before duplicating processors. Keep dust and sand routes distinguishable before they enter a Stone press.
Night operation
A day/night cycle is 60 minutes, half daylight and half night at each location. A panel’s full-sun rating is not continuous night output. Size both stored energy for a 30-minute night and spare daytime generation to recharge it. Batteries charge at 92% efficiency in the community data.

Collector, deposit and garage are different
North is the starting station; East, West and South provide other deposit points. At a deposit tray, fill the tray from your tool and press its button to sell. A belt reaching a station intake sells on arrival. The Collector contains the supply wall and launcher; its belt intake is also a sale destination. A garage pad only transfers a vehicle load into the silo, so it needs a selling route afterward.
Behind station service tables, the upgrade hologram opens crew research. The supply wall sells tools and suit equipment. If you are looking for a tool rather than a shared upgrade, use that wall instead of the hologram. A merger takes incoming capsules in turns; an input that just supplied one waits when another input has material ready.

Pressure chamber batch timing
A chamber needs 10 kW in range. At full power it processes up to 5 kg per 12-second cycle (25 kg/min). It starts with a full 5 kg or after three seconds with a smaller batch. The output emits 1 kg sand capsules at 0.35-second intervals. Below 8% of required power it stops; nominal full-power throughput does not describe that state.
Robot return and remote operation
Robot vacuum Mk I returns at 98% bin capacity, unloads into its dock at 6 kg/s and can be pushed. The dock stores 100 kg and emits capsules of at most 1 kg. Open a vacuum’s dock panel from up to 4 m; the J.O.O.N.A.S. panel works from 12 m. J.O.O.N.A.S. has six cleaning arms, cannot be pushed and continues cleaning when players are away. Without a catcher it waits with a full bin. Build the receiving route before buying additional units.
