Moon Sweepers Factory Ratio Calculator

Calculate nominal processing capacity with visible input rates and power assumptions.

Quick answer

Under the reported full-power recipes, two Pressure Chambers feed five Stone Presses: 50 kg/min of sand, plus 50 kg/min of direct dust, yields 100 kg/min of stone. That is a theoretical processing ratio, not a guarantee that one belt or catcher can sustain it.

The mass balance

Assume dust converts to sand 1:1 by mass, and a press consumes equal masses of dust and sand to produce stone. Half your raw-dust stream feeds the chambers and half bypasses them. For input R kg/min, sand demand is R/2, direct dust demand is R/2 and finished stone output is R. Chambers needed = ceil((R/2) / chamber rate). Presses needed = ceil(R / press rate).

Default active power = chamber count × 10 kW + press count × 18 kW. At R = 100, that is 2 × 10 + 5 × 18 = 110 kW of installed processing load. This excludes supporting systems, panel sizing and storage losses.

Why the real factory may produce less

Community observations report splitter/merger delays and belt bottlenecks. Rounding machine counts upward gives spare nominal capacity; it does not create more dust. A catcher is a buffer and a delivery interface, so this tool intentionally does not infer a catcher count from the processing ratio.

Replace the default rates with measured sustained rates from your own line. Never treat a theoretical 2:5 ratio as proof that five presses are fed continuously through an overloaded output belt. Night operation also requires energy storage and enough daytime recharge.

Read the result before buying

For 60 kg/min of input at the default rates, 30 kg/min of sand needs two chambers, and 60 kg/min of stone needs three presses. The installed machines can process more at some stages, but your feed still caps output at 60 kg/min. The calculator reports that feed limit.

Solar sizing is a separate calculation

The installed load above is not a solar-panel count. For the dated community power values and the distinction between surviving one night and recharging every day, use the overnight energy examples. The processing calculator does not simulate day/night transitions.
