Moon Sweepers Map, Waypoints & Exploration
Use the in-game map and station teleport network without relying on unverified coordinates.
Quick answer
Use the Moon map’s right-click actions for waypoints, focus and teleport options. Discover stations to use the teleport panel. Since 1.0.4 robots appear on the map with their activities, so you can inspect distant work without following each robot.

Use the map for a job, not just a view
- Open the in-game Moon map and right-click your intended destination to use its available waypoint or focus action.
- Mark a manageable work area and identify a known return station before traveling.
- Use robot type filters to reduce clutter and inspect the activity of the units relevant to that job.
- Return through the teleport panel between discovered stations where available.
Flags and survey sites
Flags and lunar surveys are distinct exploration activities. Community references report $100 for an untangled flag and $250 for a surveyed lunar site. Treat these as detour opportunities rather than a guaranteed dollars-per-minute route. If you already have a nearby marker, it can fund an early tool without requiring a long sweeping session.
Why map progress can look wrong
On 1.0.5, sectors that show 0% cleaned despite having no dust are checked when the world loads and completed sectors pay. The patch also fixes distant J.O.O.N.A.S. hexes sticking at 99.9%. An unmeasured sector no longer appears as a misleading 0%. Update before deciding the save is permanently broken.
References disagree about exact global sector counts and use region, section and hex inconsistently. For personal planning, use the total and percentage shown in your own save. This guide does not publish a fabricated coordinate map.
Plan the next cleanup session
Choose a connected patch, identify how dust gets sold, then assign robots or vehicles. Keep a waypoint at the current edge of the operation. A distant dirty area without an unloading path may clean more slowly overall than one near a working station.

Show the sector boundary with G
On foot, press G to scan the sector beneath you; the default controller binding is D-pad down. Read the outline and cleanliness together, then move to the next area and scan again. This is a local-sector inspection, distinct from the Moon map used for travel.
If the expected overlay is missing, leave the building preview, restore a hidden HUD and check the installed controls. The same physical button can perform another action in a different tool context. Do not assume a sector’s cleanliness percentage is the percentage of the entire Moon completed.
Wikily controls reference and its transcription of the in-game Field Manual agree on the local scan’s purpose. The manual uses a control placeholder; the controls table supplies G. Community documentation checked 1 November 2026; not a personal playtest.
