Moon Sweepers Machines: What Each Stage Needs
A focused machine reference for collection, packaging, processing and selling.
Quick answer
A Packager handles manual dust, a Pressure Chamber makes sand, a Stone Press uses dust plus sand, and a Capsule Catcher receives J.O.O.N.A.S. deliveries. Build the transport and power around the machine, not after it stops.

Core production machines
| Machine | Reported cost | Job | Main dependency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Packager | $100 | Tool dust → capsules | Output belt to a useful destination. |
| Pressure Chamber | $500 | Dust → sand | Dust supply, 10 kW at full load. |
| Stone Press | $1,000 | Dust + sand → stone | Two material streams, 18 kW at full load. |
| Capsule Catcher | $1,500 | Receives J.O.O.N.A.S. capsules | Space in its 100 kg buffer and a clear outfeed. |
| J.O.O.N.A.S. | $20,000 | Autonomous sector cleaning | Working catcher network. |
| Garage | $200 | Vehicle access and unloading | Vehicle and dust outfeed route. |
Costs and machine load are community reference values. The 100 kg catcher capacity is explicitly confirmed in the official 1.0.4 notes. This is a production reference, not a claim to list every decorative or structural build item.
Rates and recipe assumptions
| Machine | Nominal cycle | Equivalent rate |
|---|---|---|
| Pressure Chamber | 5 kg dust → 5 kg sand / 12 s | 25 kg sand/min |
| Stone Press | 1 kg dust + 1 kg sand → 2 kg stone / 6 s | 10 kg of each input/min; 20 kg stone/min |
Nominal full-power figures describe processing capacity. Belt travel, splitter timing, shortages, output blockage and night downtime can all reduce measured performance. The calculator shows these assumptions rather than hiding them.
Place machines without rebuilding the base
In 1.0.5 machines snap to foundations, with 90° wheel rotation on square foundations and 30° on hexagonal ones. F permits free placement. Aim at the relevant foundation surface to choose top, underside or side. Use R move mode to reposition a piece with objects standing on it, then test connected belts.
