Measure a repeatable session
- Record the overall Moon percentage before playing, using the same display each time.
- Record active elapsed time and the percentage afterward.
- Note the crew size, robots, selling route and any rebuilding downtime.
- Repeat after major upgrades. A toothbrush-era rate is a poor prediction of a later automated world.
Calculate a scenario, not a promised finish date
If your world gains g percentage points in h hours, the observed rate is g/h points per hour. At current progress p, a constant-rate projection is (100 − p) × h / g hours remaining. This is only defined when g is positive.
Example with invented inputs: 2 hours for a 0.2-point gain gives 0.1 points/hour. At 3% overall progress, that projects 970 more hours at the same rate. These figures illustrate arithmetic; they are not measured Moon Sweepers performance.
What makes the estimate move
New vehicles and robots change collection speed. More players may also compete for transport or spend time building. A final belt can cap the income needed for upgrades. Rounded percentage displays can hide small gains; measure a longer session rather than treating a displayed zero as exact zero progress.
Use the total shown in your save. External references disagree on region counts, and local 99% cleanliness is not 99% completion of the Moon. For apparently stuck sectors, check the version-specific progress fixes before extrapolating.
