Moon Sweepers Vehicles & Garage Guide

Compare all five vehicles, account for the Garage and Building Tool, and check what your crew can afford.

Quick answer

The Push sweeper costs $300. Budget $550 from scratch: $300 vehicle + $200 Garage + $50 Building Tool. If a usable garage already exists, pay only for the vehicle. Compare cleaning width and hopper size below; the Crew transport is for passengers.

Before buying your first vehicle

Community references list a $200 Garage and $300 Push sweeper. That is $500 if you already own the Building Tool, or $550 from scratch including the $50 Building Tool. If you already have a usable garage, budget only for the vehicle itself. Keep enough money for the unloading route instead of spending every dollar on the cleaner. A larger hopper helps only if the station can receive the dust.

The specialist vehicle reference lists five types: Push sweeper, Ride-on sweeper, Lunar sweeper, Mega vacuum rover and Crew transport. The Crew transport serves travel and seats rather than being a direct substitute for every cleaning vehicle.

These are unupgraded, community-reported menu values, reviewed on 30 October 2026. The source tables agree on the prices, widths and hoppers below; this is a reference comparison, not a new hands-on measurement by this site.

*Vehicle + one $200 Garage + $50 Building Tool. Excludes belts, power, upgrades and other construction. The eight-seat Crew transport carries people; it is not the next cleaning tier just because of its position in the price list.

What can your current budget buy?

Formula: vehicle price + missing garage cost + Building Tool cost when a garage still needs building. If a usable garage already exists, a new vehicle purchase does not need another Building Tool. The result is an affordability check; it does not spend money or choose a vehicle for your crew.

Which vehicle upgrade solves the problem?

UpgradeUseful whenCheck before buying
Big HopperThe cleaning run ends with a full hopper.A larger load still needs an unloading route.
Suction ControlYou need a wider cleaning strip.Higher suction trades movement speed for width.
Quick ReleaseThe transfer into the garage is the delay.A blocked silo outfeed is a separate issue.
Tuned Motors / Turbo KitTravel between jobs dominates the run.Faster travel does not clear a blocked delivery line.
Cruise Control / FloodlightsRepeated driving input or poor visibility gets in the way. These solve comfort and visibility needs.

Vehicle upgrade levels belong to each vehicle, with purchase prices that vary by model in the community reference. Plan around the machine you intend to keep. Do not assume the host’s shared hand-tool matrix purchases also buy every vehicle upgrade for the crew.

What a garage does

  1. Use a garage to buy, store, recall and upgrade your own vehicles. Official 1.0.3 notes confirm that these operations work at every garage.
  2. Return dust through the garage collection system, then check the silo outfeed and its belt route.
  3. If stored dust stops leaving in 1.0.5, read the garage silo status message. It now identifies problems such as an unconnected outfeed.

Do not assume a hand-tool cleaning-width upgrade enlarges a vehicle’s cleaning strip. Check the garage’s vehicle-specific upgrades and the live tooltip. A tier list without unloading time cannot tell you which vehicle fits your save.

Camera option

1.0.5 adds “Vehicle camera follows behind” in Settings → Controls. Turn it off if you prefer the camera to stay where you rotated it instead of recentering.
