Your first opening

Choose Apprentice if you want to learn several product lines before specializing. Finish the tutorial, check the calendar, open the shutter and deal with one customer at a time. Inspect an item before agreeing a price. A low asking price is not proof that the item is usable.

A daily routine

Before opening, check events and the next rent bill. During trading, match the customer’s accepted categories to your stock. Before sleeping, bring exposed stock inside, review service costs, and check power and production inputs. Community reports describe insurance returning stolen stock; compare its actual premium with the value you would struggle to replace.

Spend in the right order

Our suggested order is working cash, storage, power, then machinery. Price the whole production chain before buying its first machine. A machine that cannot run or whose output has no buyer ties up rent money. The profit planner can help compare a batch against your daily overhead.

If the shop stalls

No buyer: check item tags, condition and display choices. No cash: stop optional purchases and release slow stock. Machine idle: check its own tooltip for power, inputs and container requirements. Avoid copying day-by-day prices from old playtest footage.
