Timing matters
UPDATE 049 moved the officer visit to the morning after the investigation completes and changed sentence handling. It also fixed arrests over fines the player could afford and an evidence-removal exploit. Do not rely on an old video’s extra day or a last-minute fixer loophole.
A launch hotfix worth knowing
1.0.0.1 fixed confiscation of items inside a Smuggler Bay when the bay was in the trash, or a Mini Smuggler Bay had been behind the poster. It also stopped reporting Lou from reducing Black Market reputation. Update the game before diagnosing those specific behaviors.
Keep the systems separate
Insurance addresses stock loss; it does not erase a police case. Identifying an Aug uses customer inspection, while appraisal concerns merchandise. Before using a contact’s service, read its cost and availability in your own phone book.
