Run a Sunday reserve
Read the current lease and payment date. Set aside rent, overdue amounts, nightly services and enough production inputs to continue trading. Use the balance left over as the purchase budget. Slow wine, breeding stock and unfinished printer jobs are assets but cannot pay a bill until sold.
Difficulty changes the curve
The published rent reference lists nominal weekly rises of 2.5% Cozy, 5% Mark Up and 10% Hard/Challenge, and also records a Mark Up example of 200 to 209. The latter is not the exact mathematical result of multiplying 200 by 1.05. These are reported game/reference figures, not a certified rounding formula. A single approximately 4.5% observed increase cannot establish a universal rate. Check the actual lease after collection; scenario and perk additions also change starting rent.
Grace postpones a bill
Rent Grace shifts one missed payment onto next week instead of eliminating it. Read availability and the next combined bill before relying on it. A missed bill without protection can end the run. Borrowing or liquidation is a decision about total future obligations, not merely today’s cash.
Review nightly services
Insurance protects against a stock loss; Janitorial addresses cleanliness and vandalism; Power enables charging and related equipment. Turn on the service you need and read its actual charge. Early idle power and optional services can waste working cash. Later, one uninsured loss or lost customer can cost more than the premium. Compare current risk and inventory rather than enabling everything automatically.
The landlord’s vending machine
An offered machine or fountain can earn after hours, but accepting adds 150 to rent permanently in the documented event. Decline while sales are uncertain. To compare an existing machine, record a full week’s actual proceeds, subtract replacement stock and service costs, and compare that net amount with the extra bill. A machine with gross sales above 150 can still lose money after inputs.
