Profit planner: can this batch pay its way?

Enter your current prices and expected sales. The planner subtracts production costs and overhead, then estimates how long a new machine takes to repay its cost.

How it works

Revenue = units sold × sale price. Daily cash surplus = revenue − units made × input cost − daily power/consumables − allocated overhead. Payback days = equipment cost ÷ positive daily surplus, rounded up. Unsold output still costs money; the planner assumes a steady repeating daily batch and no starting inventory.

Read the result carefully

These default inputs are illustrative, not game prices. Use a slower-sales scenario as well as your best day. Negative surplus has no finite payback. This tool omits hidden events, theft, taxes or penalties you have not included and cannot predict whether buyers will appear.
