Start with the permissions
Gunsmith provides Class I permission and opening equipment. Other starts can acquire Retired Gunsmith through Wild; release guides list base 650. Permits cover a class, not every weapon you own, and do not clear an existing investigation. Read current stock legality before offering it.
Permit progression
| Permit | Base cost | Security needed | Revoked below |
|---|---|---|---|
| I | 300 | 20 | 0 |
| II | 600 | 50 | 30 |
| III | 900 | 80 | 60 |
Complete the actual brief
Read caliber, mandatory attributes and bonuses. Use the gun’s current values after condition and attachments. Firepower 17 fails >17 even if Accuracy qualifies for several bonuses. Multiple bonus thresholds on one attribute can stack. Check mandatory conditions again after each attachment; improving one stat can damage another. Gun-order buyers do not use ordinary haggling.
Service requests use improvement
When the visitor supplies a gun, record its starting attributes. This is an improvement job, not an absolute gun-sale target. Community references describe required increases of 8, 10 and 12 for basic, mid and high jobs respectively. Read which attributes the actual order selects. A bonus below your additional parts cost may not be worth pursuing.
Run the printer
Insert a reusable chip, required materials and power. Metal recipes need Metal Printing; frames and gun parts additionally require CNC. The code-reviewed reference gives base 24 work per powered night: a 50-work job needs three nights at that rate. Work is not a night count. Materials are consumed, while the chip is reusable. Leave output space and wait for completion before diagnosing an empty output as failure.
Repair or decline
Gun Parts attempt a condition improvement; success is not guaranteed. Recheck the result before spending on attachments. If a weapon cannot meet the required brief at an acceptable cost, decline instead of rescuing sunk costs. Display an appropriate permit when seeking specialist orders, then observe actual arrivals. This attributed release guide does not claim universal attachment compatibility.
