Choose the full game
The base game is Steam app 4348910. The old demo is a separate app, 4349200. If Steam is showing demo content or an unavailable install, check which library entry you selected before troubleshooting the full release.
Before using an old save
Make a backup of the existing save folder using the location supplied by your game or system. Keep the original untouched while testing the full game. This site has not verified a universal save path and does not provide a guessed one.
Mods need extra care
The launch post warns that mods built for the demo probably will not work with the full game. Check Workshop compatibility and the author’s version note. If a transferred run behaves strangely, test a clean unmodded new run before concluding the base game is broken.
Why start fresh?
Compatibility does not mean that a progressed save will naturally show every newly added introduction or storyline. A new run is the studio’s recommendation for experiencing the launch content. You can retain the old save separately.
