Cloud Vision: Skills & Early Build Priorities

Use Cloud’s Lightning and Water commands without assuming every skill is already unlocked.

Quick answer

Cloud is a Breaker Vision from the Sanctum of Cloud. His kit includes Lightning and Water attacks; choose it when those elements help the encounter, then check your current Awakening and mastery unlocks.

Selected commands and costs

CommandMPUse
Thunder Surge5Lightning physical attack
Water Surge5Water physical attack
Libra1Inspect an enemy
Debrave6Reduce enemy physical attack
Bravery6Increase an ally’s physical attack
Haste6Increase an ally’s speed

Spend toward an actual gap

  1. Inspect the next enemy’s weakness and confirm the command you need is available.
  2. Assign Cloud to an active character and verify the command list.
  3. Give that character enough MP for the dungeon approach, not only the boss.
  4. Keep healing elsewhere in the formation; do not remove the only recovery option to add another attacker.

Selected mastery checkpoints

RankReward
1Restore MP on Critical Hit: restores 3% maximum MP on a critical hit
3Deathblow: guaranteed critical if it lands, with low accuracy
5Fill Gauge: adds 25% LB gauge
7Critical Stagger: physical critical hits gain 40% stagger power

When to change the setup

A Lightning-resistant opponent is a reason to inspect another element, not to force the same rotation. Cloud’s listed costs describe specific commands; later versions can cost more. This is a role-based recommendation, not a measured claim that Cloud is universally optimal.

Need the AP to retain a learned skill?

Cloud’s awakening kit and a character’s mastery rewards have different equip rules. Check which system unlocks the ability before spending materials; train mastery on an accessible route if MRP is the missing requirement.
