Colosseum & Legendary Arms: Where to Start
Arena progression, Ancient components and a useful preparation order.
Quick answer
The Colosseum opens after reaching Zoldaad in Chapter 4. Clear its leagues in order. Legendary Arms follow a different path: find an Ancient component, then complete its restoration trial.

What the starred clear save unlocks
There is no New Game Plus mode in the referenced release. Load the starred clear save to return before the final boss and continue optional completion. The post-clear challenge includes level-70 Ultima Weapon; check its encounter preparation rather than expecting a fresh story with carried-over progress.

Ancient component → guardian → restored arm
There are twelve standard restorations. Finding the component is only the first stage. Take it to the Chamber of Arms, prepare for its guardian and confirm the restored reward afterward. Keep component acquisition and trial completion as separate notes.

Prepare an adaptable formation
- Carry physical and magical damage, several elements and a non-elemental option.
- Keep ailment prevention, recovery and buff removal available.
- Read the enemy’s current state before repeating an element.
- Change equipment between attempts when the failed mechanic is clear.
Suggested cleanup order
- Finish accessible substories and useful summon detours.
- Collect missing materials and spend palace rewards.
- Restore equipment that helps the particular guardian or arena fight.
- Attempt the harder encounter, recording the state that defeats the party.
