Early Equipment: Useful Upgrades & Tradeoffs

Choose a weapon for damage, MP or survival and keep gil for recovery.

Quick answer

For Rain, compare Flamberge’s HP bonus with the shop-bought Claymore. For Lasswell, compare Iwakirimaru’s MP bonus with Sakura-Fubuki’s attack. Choose the improvement that addresses the next fight.

A practical purchase order

  1. Replace the item responsible for the current failure: insufficient survival, missing ailment protection or an empty resource pool.
  2. Compare the full effect of the replacement, including HP, MP and speed.
  3. Keep recovery supplies for the route and boss.
  4. Inspect the equipped result before leaving the shop.

Later equipment projects

Aileen’s commissions use Adamantite. Legendary Arms use Ancient components and Chamber of Arms restoration trials. They are different acquisition systems: check Adamantite or plan the endgame route.
