Resolve the local mechanism
Check The Art of Death, The Song of Stone, Grimoire Esoterica, The Demesne of the Dead and For Whom the Giant Weeps. After the remaining count reaches zero, use the restored blue teleporter to the Forbidden Text Wing. The inner tome and its encounter are a separate task.
Check the next prerequisite
Inspect the ladder/upper ledge for optional pickups before the final bookshelf interaction. Prepare a healing Vision on an available character for Byblos because Fina is absent. The tome opens the memory route, but its first visit still cannot finish the sealed gate; Tower of Mysidia supplies the later story condition.
