Complete both monuments
Visit the second stele northeast of Duggle and choose Prove yourself. After winning Odin’s Shadow, speak with the Old Man in Nameless Ruins’ deepest room to receive Odin. The battle alone does not satisfy the acquisition gate.
Control the concentration threat
Use Lightning magic for gauge pressure while Odin is not Slowed. Repeated physical weakness hits can provoke counters; sufficient magic damage under Slow can also do so. These reactions are dangerous but delay concentration’s death threat. Heal first before deliberately provoking a physical-Lightning counter, leaving recovery afterward. Do not add Slow automatically or assume an exact safe hit threshold.
Prepare for failure as well as interruption
Keep physical protection, a Paralysis/Sleep recovery route and revival. Interrupt the Zantetsuken warning when reachable; ordinary death prevention helps with ordinary death effects but does not remove concentration or create an invulnerable loop. Finish the Old Man report before checking Bahamut’s other-eight requirement.
