Follow the active objective
Gather accounts from the Military Engineer outside the equipment shops, Kol’s Affable Woman near the chocobo ranch, and the Former Rebel near Rebel Hideout’s crates. Return to Aileen. The answer sequence is: “It’s a tool of harm.” → “A way to rebel against troubling times.” → “Craft weapons that suit each of us well.” A wrong sequence can be retried by speaking to her again.
Finish and claim the reward
Confirm the Vision and Magicite reward. Crafting is later: complete the quest, progress into Chapter 6, hold Adamantite and speak to her on the Enterprise deck. Updated references do not require Mastery Rank 9 for the service. Each commission consumes one ore; check the eight sources. This is separate from restoring an Ancient component.
