Set the system and game together
The retail RPG Site test uses a 60fps/60Hz system limit alongside the PC graphics settings. Its OLED report does not consistently sustain 90fps, so raising the refresh rate alone is not a solution. Compare a demanding Resonance animation as well as a quiet town.
Choose the trade-off you prefer
SteamDeckHQ reports a maximum-quality 45fps profile with lower power draw in its test. RPG Site suggests a lower cap around 40 on LCD or 45 on OLED for quality. These are separate reviewers and conditions, not a controlled device ranking or guaranteed battery-life result. Start from the smoother profile, then compare the same scene after changing the cap and quality.
Controls, display and startup
720p is 16:9; it does not prove every scene fills the 1280×800 panel without bars. For a docked pad that fails, inspect the active controller in Quick Access before reinstalling. Complete initial online setup before a trip. Steam Deck Verified and Steam Cloud do not publish a recurring Denuvo activation interval.
