Confirm supported Xbox Series X|S and PC devices plus the Play Anywhere badge on your exact listing. The Xbox product advertises cloud saves within its ecosystem. That is not proof of Steam-to-Xbox ownership or a universal cross-platform save bridge. A hypothetical physical Xbox copy should not be assumed to grant the same PC entitlement.
Demo and cloud use
Start the Xbox demo on the route you intend to continue, keep the account consistent, and verify carryover in the full game.
