Radioactive waste: plan the disposal first

Community reports describe taking a barrel on a night trip to the dumping grounds and leaving it there. This is a reported route, not a newly verified 1.0 exploit.

Before accepting the offer

Check available bag space, the offered payment and whether you can afford the night action. The often-quoted 100 credits per barrel comes from a recorded run; do not assume the amount is fixed across difficulty settings. Refuse if the disposal commitment would threaten rent.

Reported disposal sequence

  • Prepare space for a barrel and supplies for the night trip.
  • Choose the dumping grounds after closing.
  • Move the barrel out of your bag onto the ground.
  • Return and check whether it stays gone.
  • Repeat only after confirming the result in your build.

What to avoid

Guides report direct trash disposal and ordinary resale failing. A container-in-trash workaround is explicitly described as potentially bug-dependent, so this site does not recommend building a business around it. Storing a barrel inside a cage or crate is not the same as disposing of it.

Evidence limit

The reference report notes that the first barrel may return. Current-build repeatability has not been tested here. If it returns again, stop repeating the route and check current community reports before taking more cargo.

The container workaround is not an approved disposal route

The independent Wiki records placing waste in a disposable container and putting that container in trash as a player workaround. It is explicitly bug-sensitive, and a barrel may return. Prefer checking the night-trip removal on one already accepted barrel; do not accept more paid waste on the assumption that hiding it in a container guarantees removal.

IGN’s three reported routes

RouteActions in the gameReported limitation
Night dumpFit waste in a large bag; travel at night; remove waste onto the Dumping GroundGeorgio can return it the next day or later
Bag and janitorialPut waste inside a bag; put the entire bag in shop trash; enable and pay Janitorial overnight; inspect next morningConsumes the bag; current-patch persistence is not tested here
Container saleHide waste inside a container and try selling that container to a compatible buyerContainer supply and buyer acceptance are not guaranteed

Verify removal before accepting another load

Those are the October 31 IGN article’s observed game workarounds. Directly throwing the loose waste into shop trash is reported not to remove it. Do not confuse one morning’s absence with permanent disposal: the dump route specifically has a returning-Georgio problem. If testing the bag route, compare the entire bag and contents before and after the paid service. The article does not establish a guaranteed permanent production business across future patches.
