Hydroponics: grow Huge Nutrifruit and sustain the farm
Huge Nutrifruit depends on plant health and machine quality. Preserve full health through a powered, supplied Nutrifruit cycle, then inspect the harvest.
Quick answer
Huge Nutrifruit depends on plant health and machine quality. Preserve full health through a powered, supplied Nutrifruit cycle, then inspect the harvest.

Plant the first seed
Start as Hydroponic Farmer or unlock farming through Wild. Open the Hydroponic System, put a filled container in WATER, insert a charged Energy Cell and place a seed in SEED INPUT. The in-game manual reproduced by Wikily recommends Ghostwater or Basewater with added Minerals. Minerals are nutrients. Maintain water and charge throughout the cycle and inspect requirements with the Plant Analyzer.
A Huge Nutrifruit route
Use a Nutrifruit seed and aim to maintain 100 health until harvest. The published Nutrifruit reference gives optimal Minerals of 0.5–2.5%, 100 mL liquid per night and about two nights with innate traits on an ordinary machine. Treat these as release-reference starting points and check your seed after edits. Keep Minerals within range and harmful contamination low. Refill before the next night instead of allowing a partly completed crop to run dry.
Size is different from yield
Wikily describes 100-health Nutrifruit as all Huge. At health 96–99 only part may be Huge; quality can improve that allocation. Nico and IndieTome report above +50 adjusted Quality, while Wikily describes over +100 summed Quality. These are differently defined quantities, so preserving full health is the clearer route than certifying one module total. Ordinary or Large Nutrifruit does not satisfy Green Thumb. If you miss, inspect health loss before buying more modules.
Choose the next crop
| Crop | Production role |
|---|---|
| Nutrifruit | Food; Infertile makes seed returns very rare |
| Kotton | Fiber, with a specialist fabric route |
| Dream Cap | Chemical feedstock; modules can change output |
| Coffee | Chemical feedstock; the bean is plantable |
| Fillerweed | Fast utility crop |
| Hydroreed | Water treatment; filter harvest needs its module |
| BloomBerry | Wine feedstock and perennial regrowth |
Count actual harvests
Base crop quantity differs from yield after traits and modules: Nutrifruit base five becomes seven with innate Bountiful. Do not treat an article listing base five and another listing seven as two guaranteed difficulty outcomes. Count fruit and returned seeds separately. Infertile makes a replacement seed unreliable. Leave output space before sleeping; a projected profitable harvest is useless if storage loses it.
Fix the observed bottleneck
No progress: inspect seed, water volume, energy and remaining work. Falling health: check Mineral range and contaminants. More fruit but none Huge: inspect health rather than yield bonuses. No replacement seed: inspect Infertile and crop return rules. A standard crop is not automatically perennial. Removing a growing crop destroys it. Use the DNA guide before trying to change seed traits; the supporting guides are community references, not our game tests.
