Cangang boss guide: location and a safer opening
An early valley encounter: identify the arena, wait for the brawl, and learn the break cycle.
Quick answer
After the red-thread barrier in the opening valley, look for enemies fighting each other. Cangang is among them. Let the brawl weaken them before joining, then manage your own resources and punish a defensive break.

Find the encounter
Look beyond the red-thread barrier in the opening valley for a group already in combat. The Chinese boss name is 痴狂暴徒·残钢. This guide covers that early exploration encounter, separate from the prologue fight.
Landmark sequence only; not a map or a statement of distance.
Prepare without overcomplicating the loadout
Check that you can swap between your starting main weapons. Watch the brawl before entering; you can let the enemies wear each other down rather than immediately joining the middle of the crowd.
Use a defensive-break cycle
- Read the incoming action and watch your own yellow resource bar. Sustained blocking is not an unlimited defence.
- Work weapon swaps into your recovery opportunities.
- Watch the boss’s defensive state, then concentrate your attacks into a break opening. Return to observation when the opening ends.
Recognise the arena
The image identifies the target and surroundings. It is not a frame-by-frame parry instruction.
Change one decision after a failed attempt
Hit during a counterattack? Shorten your sequence. Staggered first? Revisit your defensive resource management. Surrounded? Change when you join the brawl. These are practice priorities, not a guaranteed no-damage method.
