Parts checklist
Head: defeat Dusk below the Temple of Blue Fireflies in Lu Village after opening the Memory Flower barrier. Strings: collect Yan’er’s flowers around the south Meigu Lake opera island and towards the Pangzhen docks, then defeat Yan Qiansui. Backplate: finish Mandate Encampment and inspect the table beyond its final boss.
After repair
Return all three parts to Myst and choose the repair dialogue. The repaired Phantom Edge removes the barrier in northeast Meigu Lake. A missing part usually means unfinished region access, not another conversation in the starting valley.

Separate Heartrend from Illusory Pipa
Heartrend Pipa drops from Yuzan and does not clear illusion barriers. Illusory Pipa is the repaired/tempered form from Myst; owning the base instrument does not satisfy the exploration gate.
