Before confirming
Finish the current run’s cleanup and retain a separate save. Fast travel from a bell to Puppet Cell, speak to Inanis and read the new-cycle confirmation. Starting a cycle resets world progression, so do the current quest hand-ins first.
Carryover
PCGamesN’s hands-on guide confirms equipment, progression items, ability training and archives carry over. Quests, maps, key items and remaining days reset. Do not assume a quest key is included merely because ordinary equipment is retained.
Separate from 66 Days
NG+ is a new cycle, while 66 Days is a difficulty ruleset. Read the selected mode’s own description. The roadmap does not require NG+ for a difficulty trophy; it is useful for failed tales and replaying with developed gear.
