Recognise the rule

If ordinary attacks appear ineffective, stop repeating the same string. The challenge is teaching a defensive response, not asking you to find a hidden damage item.

Use the opening

Perfect-parry a blue attack or perfect-dodge a red attack, then follow with a short attack. Repeat to reduce his Sha-Chi; commit damage during the resulting break window.

Return stronger if needed

A long early attempt is optional. Upgrade a weapon and improve your survivability, then return. Read the challenge prompt in later pillars rather than assuming every encounter has the first fight’s rules.
